Purpose-built for sound

Middle Sea Studio was designed from the ground up for recording, with room proportions and materials chosen to let instruments speak naturally. Whether capturing drums, acoustic instruments, piano, or vocals, the space supports performances with clarity, depth, and balance—without fighting the room.

True Isolation: Double-stud walls with air gaps and dual-layer 5/8" drywall for a silent noise floor.

Mechanical Decoupling: Independent, foam-isolated subfloors to eliminate cross-room vibration.

Precision Geometry: Custom non-parallel walls engineered to eliminate standing waves and flutter echo.

Carefully chosen tools

Middle Sea Studio is equipped with high-quality analog and digital tools selected for sound, reliability, and feel. Every piece—from our Rupert Neve Designs console to our curated microphone collection—is here for a reason: to support the performance, stay out of the way, and help translate ideas into finished work without friction.

A destination studio

Middle Sea Studio is located in a quiet, natural setting on the Kitsap Peninsula. Artists come here to step away from daily distractions, settle into the work, and focus fully on their projects. It’s a place designed for deeper sessions, longer stays, and creative momentum that’s hard to find elsewhere.

There are plenty of comfortable hotels and rentals within 30 minutes of the studio. Whether you prefer a waterfront rental in Seabeck, a boutique stay in Poulsbo, or a hotel in nearby Silverdale or Bremerton, there are a variety of options that make it easy to stay close to the work.

Looking ahead, we are also planning a private two-bedroom guest house on the property to provide an even more immersive way to experience a session at Middle Sea.
